Aurora Microplates’ mission is to manufacture the best-quality, highest-performing microplates possible. To that end, we focus on employing the best materials, the cleanest and most precise molding operations, and the right facilities to deliver high-performance microplates in a timely fashion.

Since the late 1990s, Aurora Microplates has supplied the innovative Cyclo Olefin Polymer (COP) Micro-Titre plates to the drug discovery sciences. Today we continue to push boundaries of microplate design with the support of Zeon Corporation, our parent company and the sole worldwide manufacturer of COP Resin (Zeonex and Zeonor). Zeon provides a direct line not only to our key material but its research and development center, helping Aurora to realize our mission.

Pure materials

Aurora uses only COP to make our range of 96-, 384-, 1536- and 3456-well microplates. Every plate is made with the same formulation of resin, colorant, and film. COP is a very clean resin, free of metals and other contaminants that can impact cells, enzymes, and other bioactive entities–especially when compared to traditional polystyrene plates.

Clean processes

Aurora deploys the cleanest and most precise production processes possible, which are continuously monitored for quality. All of our plates are manufactured inside a Class 8 Clean Room, under ISO-13485 Quality Rules. The entire operation is kept dust and static-free to eliminate suboptimal performance issues when used by Aurora customers.

Clear images

Exacting tolerances for consistency, clarity, flatness, and quality combine to deliver clear images, sensitive detection and low background noise. These Aurora microplate attributes lead to highly consistent data within an assay, and from lot-to-lot microplate deliveries over the course of months or even years of use.

Results you can trust

We believe that a great microplate should be an invisible well to hold your assay contents and provide truthful results, enabling confidence in your research results.

Aurora’s plates also meet the rigorous demands of laboratory automation. The plates are qualified for fit and function, which ensures reliable handling in robotic operation including special automation features such as alignment fiducials, flanges, and cutouts for positioning and embossing during microplate stacking routines.

Aurora Microplates understands the demands of modern discovery science and its ever-evolving search for more sensitive and subtle clues to understanding cause-and-effect. We believe that the best microplates should be an invisible carrier for your work, not a contributor to data variability. We will continue to hold these beliefs as we operate, innovate, and support your needs today and in the future.
