In vivo studies are an essential component of biopharmaceutical R&D that help teams understand drug pharmacology, safety, and toxicology. They sit on the critical path to bringing new drugs into the clinic, so it’s imperative to run them accurately, efficiently, and collaboratively. Yet many teams still struggle to manage the end-to-end process of running in vivo studies using spreadsheets, email, and outdated point solutions. This leads to laborious data collection, transcription errors, and poor collaboration across teams. Modern drug development teams require an in vivo solution that aligns with the specialized nature of vivarium work, yet also remains connected to their broader R&D programs.

In this GEN webinar, we will share some of the frequent challenges observed across the industry, followed by real-world examples of companies modernizing their in vivo programs and a demonstration of a cloud-based informatics solution called Benchling Studies. Moreover, our distinguished speakers will discuss how to accelerate in vivo study startup by establishing repeatable study designs and using multi-parameter randomization algorithms to eliminate bias in animal selection. Additionally, we’ll hear how to capture accurate, intelligent in-life study data using connected instrumentation to automate repetitive tasks and reduce transcription errors. Finally, our speakers will provide insights on how to drive collaboration across R&D teams by leveraging connected, cloud-based R&D applications that facilitate sample transfers for bioanalysis and joining of data for scientific decision-making.

A live Q&A followed the presentation, offering a chance to pose questions to our expert panelists.
