Innovative label-free technologies such as biolayer interferometry (BLI) and advances in biosensor technology over the past several years have been addressing the growing demand and requirements for characterizing biomolecular interactions. In particular, BLI is becoming the go to method for measuring binding kinetics and affinity determination over traditional methods such as surface plasmon resonance. BLI is easily scalable for running single or up to 96 samples simultaneously, and doesn’t suffer the drawbacks from regeneration steps or matrix effects with other methods.

Our panelists for this webinar will discuss recent advances for the measurement of titration kinetics and affinity determination, and provide guidance on how BLI methods can help researchers through the application of updated methodologies.

Our first presenter, Dominic Andrada, M.S., Senior Product Manager at ForteBio, a division of Pall Life Sciences, will provide a brief introduction of BLI technology and how it can be applied to streamline your research workflow.

The second presentation, given by Vishal Kamat, Ph.D., Scientist at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, will discuss tips and tricks for optimizing binding kinetic analysis on the Octet HTX system; and share observations on the influence of various assay parameters for characterizing antibodies across SPR and BLI platforms.

The final presentation will be provided by Michael Brown, Scientist at Adimab. Mike will review picomolar binding affinity data measured by the BLI-ELISA technique, a method involving the solution-phase determination of affinity using ELISA reagents on the Octet systems.
