Summary:
Chemistry is all around us, but we often don’t stop to appreciate it. Andy Brunning, a chemistry teacher from Cambridge, U.K., set out on a mission to change that by creating visually stunning infographics that explain the chemistry behind things in our everyday lives. The infographics are organized into 21 categories, such as Medicinal Chemistry, Alcohol Chemistry, and Colorful Chemistry. On this site you’ll find infographics explaining the science behind the aroma of Christmas trees, the chemistry of fake tans, and the chemistry of contact lenses among many others. Free PDF versions of the graphics are provided on the website so that teachers can print them for their classrooms. (Other acceptable uses of the graphics are also detailed on the site.) So the next time you want to be wowed by the seemingly mundane, just head over to this site!
