The scale-X™ is a single-use fixed-bed bioreactor portfolio for automated, scalable bioprocessing of viral vaccines and vectors. A novel spiral-wound fixed-bed structure enables high cell density in a small footprint (volume) with homogeneous distribution and ultra-low shear media circulation. Users can scale processes seamlessly across the portfolio with various diameters (hydro, carbo, nitro) offering production capacity from bench to batch. The single-use, automated bioreactor systems allow for intensified cell culture and viral production from pilot to large scale industrial manufacturing (2.4 m² to 600 m² and above), offering the opportunity to supply the gene therapy market with the required quantities in an affordable manner.
