Phase II STTR grant will fund the use of biomaker patterning to assess the readiness of armed forces’ personnel.

Rules-Based Medicine (RBM) was awarded $750,000 to use serum biomarker patterning to study the operational readiness of soldiers immediately after training exercises.

In partnership with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories, Livermore, CA, RBM will apply its Multi-Analyte Profiling approach. The two-year project, funded by this phase II STTR grant from the DoD, will test plasma samples collected from armed forces’ personnel as they recover from physical stress in their training environments.

The awarding of this grant follows RBM’s completion of a previous project also conducted in conjunction with Lawrence Livermore National Labs funded by a $100,000 phase I grant.
