Organolithium compounds will be manufactured.

FMC Lithium commissioned its first factory in India, near Hyderabad, to manufacture organolithium compounds that are primarily used in the bulk drug industry.

According to FMC, the organolithium sector of the India pharmaceutical market is growing rapidly due to the extensive production of drugs that treat cardiovascular diseases and HIV infection. FMC has been supplying major producers in India through imports from the U.S., but the new facility will make it much easier for the company to service the growing demand of customers in India while efficiently managing its supply chain, explains an FMC official.
