Quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR) and digital PCR (dPCR) are powerful molecular biology techniques for quantifying and analyzing DNA or RNA, but they differ in their approach and applications. Traditional qPCR is widely used for detecting and quantifying highly specific DNA or RNA sequences in a range of research and clinical diagnostic applications. However, dPCR technology offers greater precision and sensitivity than qPCR, and is designed to handle tasks requiring precise quantification.
