XPF/ERCC1 forms a heterodimer complex and catalyzes 5’ incision to the DNA damage during nucleotide excision repair. ERCC1/XPF is also required for repair of DNA interstrand crosslinks and involved in repair of double-strand breaks. A monoclonal XPF antibody that recognizes human XPF and a monoclonal ERCC1 antibody that recognizes human ERCC1 are now available. Both are suitable for Western blotting and immunocytochemistry. They are purified mouse monoclonal antibodies raised against a full-length recombinant human XPF/ERCC1 complex.
