However, drug resistance reduces the effectiveness and sensitivity of chemotherapy, leading to treatment failure and cancer relapse in many clinical indications. The researchers propose cancer-specific drug-drug nanoparticles (DD-NPs) that improve the therapeutic efficacy of chemotherapy against drug-resistant cancer.
