As diverse as they are sophisticated, new ideas for treating cancer might seem just that—nothing more than ideas. But many of them are being vigorously pursued by developers that have deep pockets or the backing of patient investors. Ideas include small-molecule drugs, therapeutic antibodies, and T cell–engaging drugs, as well as drugs that engage elements of the innate immune system, such as natural killer cells.
