Too many investigators spend more time prepping their experimental results for analysis than they do performing the critical analysis itself—studies suggest data-wrangling consumes as much as 60% of the time spent working with data. Moreover, research data used for various analyses are frequently shelved when the data crunching is complete and is then consigned to a virtual wasteland of hard drives and cloud storage. Yet, this metadata is an invaluable and often underutilized resource that can save significant time when applied to subsequent experiments, making each new experiment more efficient.

Nowhere is this data management challenge more acute than in the Omics fields. Genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic experiments generate huge amounts of data—and oftentimes, researchers are unaware of the tools available to aggregate, connect, and harmonize that data so it can easily be put to good use. And more importantly, to reuse.

In this GEN Webinar, we will hear about the challenges facing research teams as they work to curate large omics data sets in preparation for analysis. We will then explore modern strategies and technical approaches that can dramatically simplify and improve the process.

A live Q&A session followed the presentations, offering you a chance to pose questions to our expert panelists.
