Sugar May Become Healthier Through Wyss, Kraft Heinz Collaboration
Kraft Heinz collaborated with the Wyss Institute at Harvard University to develop a mechanism to reduce the amount of sugar used in their foods without sacrificing sugar’s beneficial properties. The approach they established is based on naturally occurring enzymes that plants use to convert sugar into fiber, that could be added to foods to convert the sugar into fiber once they reached the human gut.
