This line of highly purified TORCH antigens can be used in both IVD manufacturing and research applications. The name “TORCH” stands for Toxoplasmosis, Other infections (typically Syphilis, Epstein-Barr, Varicella-Zoster Virus, and Human Parvovirus), Rubella, Cytomegalovirus (CMV), and Herpes simplex virus (HSV). These antigens have been designed expressly for use as an integral component within solid phase ELISA-based immunoassay test procedures. The antigens are all derived and sourced from infected cells, via culture, which is then treated by heat, detergent, chemical, or UV irradiation to inactivate the pathogenic components. All exhibit high purity levels as a result of either chromatography, cross flow ultra-filtration, ultra-centrifugation, or extraction processes and display the highest degrees of activity and specificity.
