The DuelingSyringes v2 is a low-shear tissue disperser used to obtain viable single cells or high-quality intracellular organelles from fresh tissue. Up to 100 mg of soft tissue (e.g., muscle, liver, or brain) can be processed in this low-cost, disposable device. A logical improvement of the classic “two syringe and needle” method of cell dispersion, the needle positioned between two syringes is replaced with a multi-holed, 500-micron stainless-steel screen. Manual passage of tissue back and forth through the screen is fast, gentle, and efficient.
