Summary:

It may have somewhat limited functionality, but the IHC Navigator app could be a handy resource for researchers who regularly perform immunohistochemistry. The app contains two small sections: an estimation reference for the volume of antibody that would be required for a particular experiment, and a calculator to compute the total volume of antibody solution and the volume of the antibody itself (calculated either based on dilution factor or concentration) that are required to complete the experiment. For the volume estimation, app users select from among a standard histological slide, well slide, or a chamber slide system to either view a diagrammed estimate of volume (for the slide) or select the number of wells that will be used for the experiment. To perform the volume calculations, users enter the number of slides to stain (or number of wells, from the estimation tool) and the estimated volume per slide, as well as either the desired dilution factor or antibody calculation.
