Strong Points: List of pre-loaded chemicals
Weak Points: QR codes only work for educational chemicals, labor intensive
Free (may be going up)
Isn’t it frustrating when you go to make a solution in the lab, only to find out that one of the chemicals you need is out of stock? The ChemAssist app by Thermo Fisher Scientific is here to help prevent that (assuming you’re willing to put in the time). The app provides users with a system to inventory and track their chemical supplies. Geared toward Fisher Science Education chemicals, the app lets users simply scan the QR codes on those chemicals to automatically enter them into the inventory. The app also includes a list of about 1,000 of their education chemicals within the app as an alternate way to add chemicals to the inventory. If users wish to add chemicals that are not included in that list, they can do so manually.
