Summary:
Tony Pawson at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto put together an organized and well-written website on protein domains important for transcription factors. As noted at the site, one can characterize proteins involved in cellular communication/response as consisting of combinations of domains for interaction and catalysis. The opening page gives a simple schematic overview of the various domains. Clicking on icons brings up descriptions of what the domains do and which protein classes contain them. In addition, the opening page has an easy-to-understand discripton about domains in general that is worth a look. Since the information is not significantly hyperlinked to other sources, the site is not overly broad, but the descriptions make it an informative and educational place to visit.
