Rating:
Strong Points: Massive amount of info
Weak Points: Nothing significant

Summary:
Speaking of fish, many of the world’s fisheries are in trouble. Can you say too many humans? OK, maybe that’s a bit over the top, but overfishing IS a problem, and increasing public awareness of the phenomenon is important. There is a bit of information on that subject at oneFish, but the site offers MUCH more than commentary on fishery problems. It is, in fact, one of the most comprehensive sites I’ve seen yet on a single topic. The site’s seven main topic areas (Donors, Aquaculture, Freshwater Fisheries, Marine/Coastal Fisheries, Utilization/Technology, Stakeholders/Organizations, and Virtual Offices) each open up into sprawling hyperlinked collections of information and documents. One downside is that it’s easy to get lost in the information, but an obvious upside is the amount of information available. The oneFish site is reminiscent of a massively hyperlinked genetic information site. An excellent source of information on an important biological resource.
