Rating:
Strong Points: Good collection of free software downloads
Weak Points: Some information specific to Baylor facilities, some outdated information

Summary:

If electron microscopes catch your fancy you’ll enjoy the website for the National Center for Macromolecular Imaging (NCMI), which features a number of photographs of the Center’s various electron microscopes as well as a number of freely downloadable tools to help process electron microscopy datasets. The NCMI is located at the Baylor College of Medicine and, though much of the information on the website relates to the physical facilities of the Center, there is also useful information for non-Baylor researchers. This includes the calendar of workshops and symposia (which includes some events located outside of the Houston area) and a small collection of archived video lectures (though most are a number of years old). Most important is the collection of free software downloads, which will surely prove useful to researchers in the field regardless of their laboratory location.
