Summary:
Established in the summer of 1997 by Christopher Earle, the Gymnosperm Database is about what you’d expect-a site full of information about conifers and related trees. Navigaton is simple . Users move quickly through the site using hyperlinks and the opening page provides a search engine for easy access to all the information on the site. The Gymnosperm Database appears to be a one person operation. Looking at the great breadth of coverage at the site (family descriptions along with pictures, an eclectic list of topics-Gymnosperms of New Caledonia, an extensive list of citations, and a very nice collection of links outside sites), I appload the effort of Christopher and encourage him to keep up the good work.
