Rating:
Strong Points: Images
Weak Points: Nothing significant

Summary:
Besides history, the other category I have a soft spot for is photography. As a result, there has been a bit of bias towards coverage of image-based sites—possibly more than is merited, but what the hey? A picture is worth a thousand words for general purposes and for teaching it may be worth even more. This excellent site provides a superb collection of beautiful images of flowering plants and, more importantly, provides them free for instructional/educational purposes. Need a flower picture for a lecture? There’s a good chance you’ll find it here. I take my hat off to Gerald Carr at the University of Hawaii for a beautiful and helpful site for educators.
