Shimadzu released an interface software to give Waters control of its Prominence® HPLC series. The development was carried out based on an agreement with Waters originally announced at PittCon 2007 earlier this year.
The software was developed using the Waters Open Interface Portal (OIP), a multivendor solution for Empower software. This interface software is integrated with Empower and enables control of Shimadzu’s Prominence HPLC series including digital data acquisition of its Photo Diode Array Detector, according to a Shimadzu.
