Affymetrix reports that the University of Ottawa Heart Institute (UOHI) will use its Genome-Wide Human SNP Array 6.0 for its whole-genome association study on coronary artery disease.
Over the next three years, researchers at UOHI will have access to the array to screen the DNA of more than 12,000 individuals. The scientists hope to not only confirm their previous findings but to also identify new associations that can be used to develop personalized treatments.
