Toxoplasma gondii Linked to Brain Tumor

One of the world’s most common parasites, Toxoplasma gondii, usually occurs by eating undercooked contaminated meat, exposure from infected cat feces, or mother-to-child transmission during pregnancy and may lead to the formation of cysts in the brain. Now, researchers report that individuals with higher exposure to the parasite are more likely to go on to develop glioma, a type of brain tumor.
