Firm will use SlonoMax™-Screen for protein optimization.

Sloning BioTechnology reports that it has synthesized a unique gene mutant library, SlonoMax™-Screen, for Novozymes. The company will use the library for screening applications to identify enzymes with significantly improved characteristics.

Sloning utilized its Slonomics™ gene-synthesis technology to introduce individual codons at specific positions of a gene sequence in a defined ratio.

“We are very excited to learn how the use of such new types of designed libraries will influence our protein optimization processes,” comments Torben V. Borchert, director of protein optimization at Novozymes.
