Sangmyung University of the Republic of Korea inked an agreement to use PerkinElmer’s assays in GPCR research. The deal is part of the country’s efforts to establish an academic GPCR screening facility together with the Korea Chemical Bank, a national repository library of over 100,000 small molecule compounds.
PerkinElmer reports that its AequoScreen aequorin assays is based on sensitive and flexible cell-based technology with advantages over conventional fluorescence-based dyes, including fewer false positives, simpler protocol, and increased assay windows.
