Financial terms could not be finalized.

Abbott and GE have terminated their contract for the sale of Abbott’s core laboratory and point-of-care diagnostics businesses to GE. The mutual decision was made after the two companies were unable to agree on final terms and conditions of the proposed sale.


On January 19, GE reported plans to buy Abbott Diagnostics Division and Abbott Point of Care for $8.13B in cash.
