GenVault (www.genvault.com) inked an agreement with Genome Quebec (www.genomequebec.com) and the Centre hospitalier affilie universitaire de Chicoutimi to support the CARTaGENE project and the P(3)G Consortium.
The CARTaGENE project is creating a public resource for the advancement of population genomics research in Quebec. The program is a member of P(3)G (Public Population Project in Genomics), an international consortium that aims to develop and maintain a multidisciplinary infrastructure for comparing and merging results from population genomic studies.
GenVault will implement its Dynamic Archive system for storing and retrieving samples that are contributed to the Biobank. This room-temperature, automated storage and retrieval system was chosen because of the dry sample storage technology and cost and space savings over conventional cryogenic systems, according to GenVault.
