The Center for Medical Genomics, Emory University Department of Human Genetics will use DNAPrint Genomics’ Ancestry Informative Marker testing package that includes all the material necessary to complete a genetic ancestry profile under guidelines established by the College of American Pathologists (CAP).

According to the company, the tests will be useful for population stratification and for quality control in large-scale genetic studies.

The new test will run on Beckman Coulter SNP stream in a CAP-certified lab. The company said the test kits come in 90-patient and 375-patient standard arrays provided by DNAPrint Genomics.
