GEN wants to know who you think this industry’s biggest visionary is.

Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple, has been hailed as one of the greatest visionaries, entrepreneurs, and talented CEOs of the computer industry, and perhaps of all time. Biotechnology too has scientific geniuses, leaders, and visionaries whose work has resulted  in, or will make possible, new therapeutics, diagnostics, and instrumentation.

Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology News (GEN) is hosting an essay contest to find out who you think is biotechnology’s equivalent of Steve Jobs. In 250 words or less, tell us: Who is the Steve Jobs of biotechnology and why?

The first-place winner will receive an American Express gift check for $500; second place, a $350 gift check; and third place, a $150 gift check. All entries must be sent by email to [email protected] and be sure to include your name, affiliation, and phone number.

Essays must be received by Wednesday, November 30. The GEN editorial team will judge the essay contest. The three winners will be interviewed and their essays will be published in GEN.
