Although new biotech drug discovery and product development efforts are growing rapidly on an international basis, any discussion on support for U.S. life science research has been woefully lacking during the presidential race. That being said, the next U.S. president and his or her administration will need to focus more intensely on biotech as a critical industry if the U.S. hopes to continue to compete successfully on the global stage.
