AnaSpec will manufacture and supply BD Biosciences with fluorescent dyes. The agreement covers BD™ dyes H7, Calcein AM, and DiIC12(3).
H7, or HiLyte Fluor 750 Bis-NHS ester, carries two amine-reactive groups on each dye molecule for general labeling of protein amine groups. Calcein AM can be used to fluorescently pre- and postlabel viable cells to perform kinetic and endpoint experiments, respectively. DiIC12(3) is commonly used for the labeling of neuronal projections as well as lipid bilayers in other cell types.
