Facility will integrate Western and Chinese Medicine.

Cinpathogen, a U.S.-based bioresearch firm, has partnered with the Institute of Biomedical Sciences at Fudan University in Shanghai to form the Fudan Cinpathogen Center for Clinical and Molecular Research.

“By integrating Western and Chinese medical research systems,” notes Richard D. Irons, Cinpathogen’s CEO, “we can advance global biomedical research and help satisfy China’s growing demand for high-quality healthcare.”

The Fudan-Cinpathogen Center for Clinical and Molecular Research will bring together clinical operations, diagnostic laboratories, and access to one of the largest tissue banks dedicated to diseases of the blood and immune systems, according to the organizations. Scientists will conduct work to support diagnosis as well as protocol-driven research on the etiology, pathogenesis, and treatment of disease.
