Summary:
With pseudoscience and misinformation scarily abundant these days (I’m looking at you, anti-vaxxers), it’s certainly refreshing to find websites (and organizations) specifically dedicated to the dissemination of good science to students and the general public. The aptly named Society for Science & the Public does just that, hosting a number of science contests for students and publishing quality science news. The society’s website is a nicely designed site that highlights the mission of the organization and provides ample resources to curious site visitors. Particular highlights of the site include the Science News section and the corresponding Science News for Students page that connects science news to classroom learning, as well as the newly created Student Science page that provides resources for students looking to conduct research and/or compete in Society-sponsored competitions.
