Rating:
Strong Points: Visually attractive, well designed
Weak Points: Nothing significant

Summary:
According to the description on this visually attractive site, Reef Check was founded in 1996 as a volunteer ocean conservation organization, focused on California. Now active in over 80 countries/territories, Reef Check provides scientific/technical and volunteer support in all areas to “monitor, restore, and maintain“ reef health. The opening page provides a textbook example of how to catch visitors´ interest. With hyperlinked headlines of current news/topics (“Overfishing in Sumatra More Damaging than Indonesian Tsunami“), gorgeous pictures, and effective pleas (“If you care about coral reefs, then we need your help“), it is no surprise the group has grown so rapidly. Cheers to them.
