Summary:
The enormous volume of scientific literature in molecular biology is hard to fully comprehend. Combine that observation with the fact that it is hard to find papers that don’t use DNA amplification and primers and you begin to see where this site is headed. Using information harvested from primer sequence information reported in the literature, the Quantitative PCR Primer Database aims to help researchers identify useful primers for quantitation of human and mouse mRNA by RT-PCR. Visitors to the site can search and find gene-specific probes, positions of SNPs and literature links, among other information. Hyperlinks to the Cancer Gene Anatomy Project (CGAP) and CAGP SNPs are also available. A great tool for molecular biology researchers.
