Summary:
It all began from the observation that, every time new students joined the lab, the same basic procedure was employed: step one, lab safety; step two, an introduction to molecular biology. In an effort to streamline the process, and make the training session available to scientists everywhere, Labtutorials.org was born. This website succeeds in providing interesting tutorials and informative video links related to techniques in molecular biology and biological science in general. Yet, the website is best approached as a “grab bag” of nifty science tips, rather than a comprehensive tutorial. I found a lot of interesting articles and videos on the site, but not necessarily in the locations I would have expected. (For instance, a video on green fluorescent protein, GFP, was listed under the “cell” category.)
