Summary:

The immunologists out there will definitely want to check out the website for IMGT®, the international ImMunoGeneTics information system. The IMGT resource is comprised of a number of databases, data analysis tools and other web resources related to genes and proteins of the immune system such as immunoglobulins (IGs), T-cell receptors (TRs), and proteins of the major histocompatibility complex. Among the database collection one can find databases of nucleotide sequences of IGs and TRs from over 300 species, nomenclature for IG and TR genes, and 3D protein structures, among others. The data analysis tools include tools for sequence alignments and phylogenetic analyses, while the additional web resources include teaching resources, notes on nomenclature, and discipline-specific information pages for medicine, veterinary medicine, biotechnology and immunoinformatics.
