Rating:
Strong Points: Much useful information
Weak Points: Poor organization

Summary:
A site whose name is not the most curious aspect about it, Inkycircus specializes in covering as eclectic a collection of science news topics as you’ll find anywhere. Consider the article about how a salad dressing mixture was used to clean up Michelangelo’s David or the observation of the first heron near London in over a century and a half or a newly designed paper that plays audio when you touch it or the shocking statistic (can it be true?) that 40% of three-month-old infants are regularly watching TV, DVDs, or other video. This is just a sampling of the fun things to be found at Katie, Anne, and Anna’s page, subtitled Life in the Girl Nerd World. I’m not sure that these reflect overly nerdy topics (nothing in engineering, for example), but the reading is totally fun and though it is mostly editorialized, the material is light and the subjects (like at other sites I’ve covered recently) simply can’t be found anywhere else. The Web is indeed spawning some amazing diversity and Inkycircus is a good example.
