Rating:
Strong Points: Focused educational content
Weak Points: Not very broad

Summary:
Self-described as “a cutting-edge educational resource for reliable information and tools relevant to the field of hypertension,” Hypertension Online is an interesting disappointment. It is interesting in that it provides useful resources to visitors, including downloadable slide libraries and animations aimed at physicians and researchers to use for education. Also, the site’s ’Late-Breaking Trials’ information is, as its name suggests, current and relevant for this important area. Where Hypertension Online is disappointing, though, is in broad educational content, organization, and breadth of coverage. While it is not unreasonable for a site to define a narrow focus, this one’s name suggests it is more wide ranging than it really is.
