Rating:
Strong Points: Nice help section, good organization
Weak Points: Nothing significant

Summary:

I can definitely appreciate a website that offers exactly what is advertised—no ambiguous site titles or cloaked content. That’s precisely what you’ll encounter with GeneNetwork.org, which—surprise!—provides tools to delineate gene networks associated with particular phenotypes. A resource from the University of Tennessee, GeneNetwork.org allows one to do different types of quantitative trait locus (QTL) mapping (simple and composite interval mappings, as well as the pair-scan method), and various types of correlation analysis. These include principal component analysis (PCA), QTL heatmaps, and network graphs. The site has a nice introduction and “how-to” page, as well as an entire help section. There is also an impressive compilation of links relating to genomics research. At GeneNetwork.org, not only do you get exactly what you thought you’d get, you get exactly what you want.
