Summary:

If you find yourself thinking about enzymes in your day-to-day research activities, then the Enzyme Portal developed at the EMBL-EBI will surely be an invaluable resource for you. The Enzyme Portal integrates a large amount of publicly available information about enzymes from seven different databases, including the UniProt Knowledgebase, Reactome, and IntEnz. The FAQ page provides information to orient first-time visitors, including a video tour of the website, while additional documentation can be found on the “About Enzyme Portal” page. The homepage itself is clearly organized and directs users to four categories of content: diseases, enzyme classification, taxonomy, and pathways. A search field at the top of the homepage allows users to quickly search for their enzyme of interest within the Portal’s vast collection of information.
