Strong Points: Topical
Weak Points: Unbalanced?

As you may be aware, California voters, in the last election passed a constitutional amendment (Proposition 71) legalizing stem cell research through a California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM). As you also know, stem cell research is a hot button topic for many people across the country, with strong proponents and opponents. California Stem Cell Report is a blog (the first we’ve reported on here) dedicated to coverage of CIRM. Archives of the group’s report go back to Januar, 2005 and cover all aspects of this topic. An interesting, though not totally surprising statistic noted on the opening page is that CIRM is the agency with the largest budget for stem cell research ($3 billion) compared to any other single group in the world. The best way to keep informed on this topic may be to watch this site.
