Summary:

The Teaching Resource Center (TRC) Pharmacology app by the Leiden University Medical Center provides medical students and healthcare professionals an excellent mobile resource for major topics in pharmacology like pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, and pathophysiology. Content within the app is organized approximately twenty-five different categories that are largely defined by medical subspecialty, but which also include general topics in pharmacology. Within each category users will find individual topic pages that are typically comprised of an illustration and a brief text description. The illustrations are clear and useful, and the text is very informative, even in its brevity. The app uses a split-screen design that allows users to either view individual entries on the full screen or “minimize” the pages to quickly access the menu. Users can also simply swipe the screen to move through the content pages in succession.
