Maintaining a system to keep your papers organized and annotated can feel like a more monumental task than reading up on the literature itself. Fortunately, apps like Paperpile are here to make your papers library more organized than ever. Like many reference organizing apps, Paperpile lets users add papers to their library and organize them by folder or keyword. Unlike some other apps, Paperpile allows users to search the web for new papers and download them directly in the app, cutting out the tedious process of manually downloading and re-uploading a stack of PDFs. One of Paperpile’s best features is its ability to help users directly annotate each saved paper, either by highlighting the text or by scribbling notes in the margin as they would with a physical copy. Paperpile’s easy navigability and advanced annotation abilities make it a reference library app well worth checking out.
