Strong Points: Entertaining way to interact with products, some educational content
Weak Points: Some redundancy in lab environments

Though largely serving as a means to introduce app users to MilliporeSigma products, the MilliporeSigma Virtual Lab at least serves up a clever twist on the typical product catalog app by being both informative and entertaining. The app features a number of virtual lab environments for users to explore. These labs span four different industries (beverages, chemicals, food, and pharmaceuticals) and are further divided into different types of labs, such as analytical versus microbiology labs. (Eagle-eyed viewers will note, however, a good amount of redundancy among many of the “different” lab environments.) Within each lab environment, users can select a number of objects to display information about the reagent or piece of equipment. Product information is provided for each featured reagent and short, informative text blurbs describe the purpose and general operation procedure for the equipment.
