Among the countless periodic table apps that are available, the Chemio app is one of the more sleekly designed and informative. The app contains four sections: the periodic table, a solubility table, a molar calculator, and an atom model. The periodic table section provides users with a large amount of information per element beyond the usual atomic mass, and users can quickly highlight different groups within the table. The solubility table conveniently provides solubility information for various ionic compounds, while the molar calculator offers standard molecular weight calculations based upon user-inputted chemical formulas. The atom model is particularly striking, providing a visual depiction of electron orbitals and the ways in which they fill as one progresses through elements of increasing atomic number.
