Cryptogram Challenge: RNAi-2

Year Created: 2010

Cryptogram Challenge: RNAi-2, a follow-on cryptogram to the recently solved Cryptogram Challenge: RNAi depicts an array of pairs of cells expressing a red protein before and after transfection with an siRNA directed against the gene that expresses the protein. Transfection with siRNA is rapidly becoming an essential tool for molecular and cell biologists. Cryptogram Challenge: RNAi-2 takes advantage of the power of siRNA to control gene expression to both illustrate the variability of cellular responses and to provide a cryptogram that should tease your imagination. The RNAi-2 challenge while similar in appearance to the first RNAi challenge will require additional skills to solve.

Cryptogram Challenge: RNAi-2 when solved will reveal a brief message that illuminates the power of the scientist to control cellular behavior.
