Broncus Technologies Selects OmniComm's Flexible TrialMaster(R) EDC Solution

MARKETWIRE

Sep 05, 2006 FT. LAUDERDALE, FL MARKET WIRE

OmniComm Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: OMCM), one of the fastest growing companies in the EDC marketplace, announced today that Broncus Technologies, Inc. of Mountain View, California has selected OmniComm's TrialMaster(R) Electronic Data Capture (EDC) and Trial Management Solution for conducting its IDE clinical trial of its Exhale(R) Drug Eluting Stent. The Exhale product is a novel bronchoscopic-based procedure and device being investigated to treat patients with emphysema. This global study will include sites located in North America, South America, Europe, and Australia.

TrialMaster is a flexible and easy to use web-based electronic data capture and trial management solution. TrialMaster optimizes the efficiency and accuracy of data collection while reducing the costs associated with paper-based clinical trials. With the TrialMaster solution, medical device companies such as Broncus can conduct clinical trials more effectively, using our software and services to provide end-to-end high quality data collection, data management and trial management solutions.

"Broncus requires complete and accurate collection of clinical research data and the ability to analyze the data in the shortest time possible after a database 'freeze' or lock. With TrialMaster we have the ability to practically eliminate the data visibility gap that occurs with paper-based trials. Utilizing the capabilities of OmniComm's EDC solution will enable Broncus to save time and money," said Dov Gal, VP, Clinical Affairs of Broncus. "We selected the TrialMaster solution because of its ease of use and flexible structure. Its integrated platform will enable Broncus to save valuable time and provide control over critical trial processes."

"It is a tribute to TrialMaster and our team that Broncus has chosen TrialMaster as its EDC solution," stated Cornelis Wit, President and CEO of OmniComm. "We are proud to be partnering with Broncus to support their data collection needs. Our TrialMaster solution provides companies such as Broncus with more efficient resource management and significant time and cost savings, allowing them to bring new treatment options to market more quickly and efficiently."
